Amol S. Naik is Founder and CEO of Resurgens Strategies. Amol has twenty years of government affairs and public policy experience at the highest levels of business, politics and the law that he is ready to put to work for you.

Amol is a government affairs executive and public policy lawyer who has had the good fortune of holding a number of fascinating jobs over the years that have resulted in a unique depth and breadth of experience. He has built government relations functions for rapidly growing companies, advised global firms on public affairs issues and provided counsel to senior elected officials at the federal, state and local levels.  He has led cross functional teams to win competitive RFPs and has secured substantial government funding to enable and enhance the deployment of major infrastructure projects.  Of particular note, Amol led the passage of the first two “One Touch Make Ready” telecommunications reforms in the United States while at Google, and later when in government service, spearheaded the passage of Clean Energy Atlanta, a community wide commitment to 100% Clean Energy by 2035.  Most recently, Amol was SVP of Public Policy, Government Affairs and Community Engagement for a rapidly growing internet service provider. In that capacity, he built a national public policy team from scratch and successfully led new market development in highly competitive environments.

Previously, Amol held senior policy and legal roles at Google, including leading Google’s state and local government affairs in the Southeast, and Google Fiber’s external affairs efforts in the Eastern US. He began his career at Google in its Washington, DC office as the company’s first political lawyer.

In government service, Amol served as the City of Atlanta’s Chief Resilience Officer and as a Senior Advisor to the Mayor. In this capacity, Amol led a team of 30 responsible for implementing the City’s public policy priorities, with a specific focus on infrastructure and sustainability investments and smart cities initiatives. While still in law school, Amol served as Chief of Staff to the Georgia Senate Minority Leader, orchestrating policy efforts for the Democratic caucus.

Amol is also a seasoned attorney, having practiced law with a focus on government affairs as a Principal at the international law firm Squire Patton Boggs. He began his legal career at the firm then known as McKenna Long & Aldridge.

Amol also has extensive experience working on political campaigns and advising elected officials. During the 2020 Presidential campaign, Amol was an advisor to Biden for President on Georgia infrastructure issues. In 2017, he served on the City of Atlanta’s Mayoral transition team. He served as a key advisor on the 2017 and 2009 Atlanta Mayoral runoffs and has served as outside counsel for a number of federal, state and local candidates and political committees.

Amol maintains deep civic ties in Atlanta and nationally. He serves as the Mayoral appointee on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Regional Commission. He also serves on the Board of Councilors of the Carter Center and on the Board of Visitors of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Amol is a graduate of Leadership Georgia and Leadership Atlanta. (Best classes ever!) The Atlanta Business Chronicle selected him as a 40 under 40 honoree, and the Daily Report designated Amol as one of the top 10 lawyers under 40 in Georgia.

Amol has significant international experience, including a German Marshall Fund Marshall Memorial Fellowship, residence in Accra, Ghana as a Google leadership fellow and participation in American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) delegations to four different continents. Amol also serves as a Trustee of ACYPL.

Amol is a graduate of the Emory University School of Law and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
